Google has confirmed July 2018 as the start date.
Google Chrome will notify users of visited websites that remain on the HTTP non-secure protocol with a warning in the URL bar of the surfer’s browser.
Google SEO is a primary factor for why you should Adapt to the HTTPS encryption. For site owners who have lagged on adapting their site, the time has indeed run out.
Why are Google SSL Requirements Important?
- Establishes Trust and Builds Brand Power
- Provides Encryption of Sensitive Information
- Provides Authentication
Final Words About Being Prepared and Staying Secure… Any legitimate e-commerce platforms, shopping carts, and merchant banking processors already expect that websites be secured with SSL/ HTTPS. Non HTTPS websites will undoubtedly be exposed to the risk of lost search rankings and overall, less traffic.
All of the sites that iWebCrafter touches will either already have SSL or will get SSL. We owe this to our clients.
